A Military Spouse Survey

I'm doing Jenna from Step By Step's Military Spouse Survey Tag today.. 

1. How did you and your spouse meet? 

We met in college at a bar...lol We both attended the Art Institute of Pitt

2. How old were you when you two met?

 I was 18 and he was 20... and yes we met drinking in a bar.. 

3. How long have you been together? 

It will be 19 years this October. 

4. Where are you and your spouse originally from? 

I'm from Central Pennsylvania and he's from just outside of Buffalo, NY 

5. How did you feel about him joining the military?

I would of preferred it if he just got a regular job.

6. Where did your spouse go to ( in the Navy it's Boot Camp) Basic Training? 

Great Lakes, IL

7. Has your spouse ever been deployed?

He has done 5 on a Submarine, 2 on Surface ships that were 6 months or more.. 

Then there are a lot of smaller ones in between. 

8. Ever been to his promotion ceremony? 

No, they don't do much unless your making Chief or promoting as an Officer.

  

9. How long have you been a military wife? 

 16 years

10. Did you marry him before or after he joined? 

After

11. How did your husband propose? 
He was leaving for a Deployment so it was we are getting married tomorrow before I leave..lol 

12. Where did you get married? 

We got married in Norfolk, VA at the Court House

13. How old were you two when you got married? 

I was 21 and he was 23

14. Did he wear his uniform on your wedding day? 

No

15. Where are you and your spouse currently stationed? 

Bethesda, MD

16. Do you live on base? 

No... We live in off base housing in Annapolis, MD near the Naval Academy.

17. How long were you married when you had to go through your first separation? 

3 Days

18. What is your favorite base so far? 

Bangor, WA hands down... We loved it there. 

19. Do you think your spouse looks good in his uniform? 

Yes especially in his Blue Camouflage one. 

20. Do you think military life is more advanced than civilian life? 

I don't think it's more advanced.. it's just different. You can't compare the two. 

21. Do you like the benefits you receive as a military dependent? 

If you seek out and use the resources and Benefits we have available they can be very useful. 

22. Do you have a lot of military wife friends? 

Yes, I actually have more Military Wives who are friends then non. It's a different lifestyle and we all relate better.

23. What is the hardest part of the military life? 

Moving frequently is the hardest thing for me. 

24. Do you own military wife stuff?

I used to but I don't really anymore. 

25. Do you support your spouse as a member of the military? 

Yes... I don't see how you can't. 

I'm going to do the same tag she did as well..
